- Title: Will Trent – My Stupid Detective Brain
- IMDb: link
Bodies found in the woods pointing to a serial killer torturing and killing his victims bring Trent (Ramón Rodríguez), Faith (Iantha Richardson), Angie (Erika Christensen), and Ormewood (Jake McLaughlin) together to all work the same case. “My Stupid Detective Brain” continues to build on the partnership of Trent and Faith each sharing some personal truths with each other and playing on the animosity between Treent and Ormewood (who finds the killer first, only to nearly become his latest victim).
The characters, even separated, working on the same case leads to a more focused episode (with the personal elements baked into the main plot without the need of a separate B-story). Trent’s revelation over what’s nagging him about the case takes a little longer than expected to arrive, but the episode also plays on his jealousy over Angie’s secret from last week episode keeping him distracted which attempts, somewhat successfully, to explain missing a vital clue.
