- Title: Will Trent – It’s Easier to Handcuff a Human Being

A missing persons case takes Will (Ramón Rodríguez) and Faith (Iantha Richardson) to a town on the coast where a small group disappeared after their party in the woods. They may or may not have been taken by a boo hag locals believe are responsible for a half dozen missing people over the years. Survivors from whatever happened start appearing one at a time with muddied memories of what happened. That is, until one eventually turns up dead.
While Faith keeps her mind open, Will ignores the supernatural oddness in the town, and missing goats from a local farmer, and looks for a more rational explanation such as the local witch (Shakira Ja’nai Paye) and a boy who went missing several years ago. However, the real story is a bit more complicated, dealing more with the partygoers than anything supernatural, and what the survivors did see that night in the woods prevented a crime from occurring. The truth of that missing kid leads to all events from that night falling into place.
In terms on ongoing storylines, Ser’Darius Blain also returns as Faith’s booty call looking to be more, investigating the same story. We also see Will continue to be haunted by his younger self which gets worse after news that one of his abusive foster parents have died. Will also struggles in deciding how to contact the uncle who doesn’t know he exists. In the B-story Angie (Erika Christensen) and Ormewood (Jake McLaughlin), who turns out to be a huge fan, investigate a death of a reality TV-star who may have been murdered. While goofy, the segments are mostly filler, although they do tie-in to Ormewood’s continuing marital trouble. And finally, we also get a tease of looming trouble for Wagner (Sonja Sohn).
