- Title: Wednesday – Quid Pro Woe
- wiki: link
No longer distracted by her parents, and using her friends’ attempts to celebrate her birthday by tricking them into some sleuthing, Wednesday (Jenna Ortega) turns her attention on an image from a vision leading her to the abandoned Gates Mansion where someone has been recently staying. Already perturbed at being tricked and dragged into another adventure, Enid (Emma Myers) and Tyler (Hunter Doohan) are in an even less forgiving mood after being attacked by the monster. With no proof to show Sheriff Galpin (Jamie McShane), Wednesday finds herself in hot water with both the sheriff and Principal Weems (Gwendoline Christie).
Leading into the final two episodes of the season, the primary focus of “Quid Pro Woe” is to distance Wednesday further from the friends she has struggled to make so far and, as prophesized, leave her isolated and alone to face what is to come. Notable moments from the episode include the impromptu birthday party in the crypt, the death of Mayor Walker (Tommie Earl Jenkins), Enid moving out of their room in search of a saner place to lay her head, and Wednesday discovering someone has been watching her all season.
