- Title: Wander Over Yonder – The Void
- wiki: link
The discovery of a doorway in the middle of space piques Wander‘s (Jack McBrayer) curiosity. Despite Sylvia‘s (April Winchell) misgivings, the pair step out of their own universe and into a white void where anything the either Wander or his best friend think about becomes reality. Although Wander takes to the new adventure with relish, after a while Sylvia grows restless with the new reality – especially when the pair lose the door back to their own universe.
Reminding me a bit of “Duck Amuck” (without Bugs Bunny as the unseen artist behind Daffy’s ever-changing reality), “The Void” offers never-ending amusement to Wander. The episode also showcases a major difference between Wander and Syliva. While both enjoy traveling through the universe for their various wacky adventures, on occasion one needs a break from time to time. Understanding his best friend’s needs, and realizing the door home won’t appear until they both truly wish it to, Wander forgoes the rest of the new reality choosing friendship over an endless void of amusement because no matter what Wander may be able to conjure into existence he realizes he can’t create a better friend than Sylvia.
