- Title: Wander Over Yonder – The Epic Quest of Unfathomable Difficulty!!!
- wiki: link
After finding a single sock in the street Wander insists he and Sylvia search until they discover its missing owner. Like many of the most enjoyable episodes of Wander Over Yonder, “The Epic Quest of Unfathomable Difficulty!!!” features Wander latching onto a simple, good-hearted idea without ever considering how much work will be involved in seeing it through to the end.
The increasingly difficult task before the pair leads Wander and Sylvia through the Grizzly Forrest, past the Giant Hoarder Scorpion, into the the Tomb of the Unknown Emperor, past the Fierce Tigrex of Nil and Doom Dragons, into the castle of Dragor the Destructible and the Iceatorium, leadd them to rescue a pair of princesses (one is far more appreciative than the other), befriend the Neon Knight of Malpraxis, ignore the songs of the Solar Siren, fight their way through the Quicksand of Forgetfulness, answer the riddles of the Blarnian Bridge Troll, avoid the Hippogryph, and eventually make it to the temple of the Intergalactic Guru where Wander wastes their one question to determine the sock’s owner. Yeah, it’s pretty awesome.
Of course after all their adventuring the pair discover a note inside the sock to return it to the owner. Despite still being antagonized by Wander’s wasteful use of their time and concerned about the evil kingdom where the sock belongs, Sylvia agrees return the sock to the evil despot ruler who almost boils them alive until he notices his long-lost beloved childhood possession. As always, Wander’s ridiculous quest turns out right in the end not only for both he and Sylvia but the entire kingdom which sheds its dark gloom once Destructor is reunited with his sock. Ridiculous? Crazy? Sure, and an awful lot of fun instantly making it my favorite episode of the series so far.
