- Title: The Flash – Think Fast

The penultimate episode of the show’s Fourth Season recycles both the good and bad of this year’s arc while setting up events for next week’s finale. Starting with DeVoe‘s (Neil Sandilands) break-in at the secret A.R.G.U.S. facility, Team Flash regroups and races against time as a reluctant Barry (Grant Gustin) gives Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker a crash-course in Flash Time in hopes of making the most out of the limited time they have left. Putting his friends in danger unfortunately means more of the mopey asshole Barry. Hopefully the team’s cathartic argument and successful execution of their plan (even if it wasn’t enough to ultimately stop DeVoe from beginning the Enlightenment) will cure our hero of more of this behavior in the future.
While most of the episode is centered around stopping DeVoe, there are some smaller stories filling in the gaps such as Harry (Tom Cavanagh) continuing to prove useful despite the loss of his intellect by helping Iris search for Marlize (Kim Engelbrecht), Caitlin making an interesting discovery about Killer Frost (that I hope the show’s writers have a good explanation for), and, providing the comic relief, Cecile‘s (Danielle Nicolet) pregnancy making her powers go into overdrive. The last of these is given too much screentime, but (as I predicted months ago) the reveal of Marlize as the key to stopping DeVoe may just give the group a fighting chance (if the Enlightenment doesn’t turn them all into dunces first).
You called it right with Marlize
