- Title: The Book of Boba Fett – Chapter 3: The Streets of Mos Espa

More of “Chapter 3” takes place in the present as the Wookiee bounty hunter Black Krrsantan (Carey Jones) is sent to kill Boba Fett (Temuera Morrison) by the Hutt Twins, Fett increases his small band by taking on some cybernetic youths who have been causing trouble in the city, and a new threat to the former bounty hunter arrives. The Wookiee’s failure leads to the rather quick exit of the Hutts, which is somewhat surprising. The introduction of the less-interesting Pyke Syndicate as the new threat to Fett ties into the flashback sequences as well providing us with the circumstances that caused the bounty hunter to leave his life with the Tusken Raiders.
While I’m not overly enthusiastic about any of the characters from Fett’s new cybernetic speeder-bike gang (including Sophie Thatcher, Jordan Bolger, and others who apparently aren’t on-screen long enough to earn names in the credits), they do start to fill in a very large hole of the limited resources Fett is working with. The destruction of the Tuskens makes sense, and although the Pike’s aren’t directly responsible it’s easy to see how their protection payments to the Kintan Striders led to the Raiders getting put in their sights. I had wondered if the Tusken Raiders might have been brought into the fold to bolster Fett’s forces, but it seems like the cyborgs will be taking on that responsibility.
