- Title: The Blacklist – Greyson Blaise

Despite the subplot involving people being tortured and murdered over the remains of a dead body stuffed in a suitcase, “Greyson Blaise” is one of the more lighthearted episodes of the series. Convincing the FBI to help, Reddington (James Spader) heads overseas with Liz (Megan Boone) to make a lucrative partnership with master thief Greyson Blaise (The Mentalist‘s Owain Yeoman) who Red describes as the cornerstone to putting back together his vast criminal network. Of course, as always, he doesn’t tell the FBI all of his plans.
With the FBI racing furiously to keep up Reddington’s appearances, and Liz enjoying the hell out of herself playing along in a country where she has no jurisdiction and doesn’t mind getting her hands a little dirty, Red’s whirlwind romance with the thief works to perfection to get Red what he’s really after – Blaise’s money and biggest scores. Given taking the man down involved using a fake masterpiece, which will be discovered at some point, the episode also leaves Blaise out there as a potential enemy to resurface and take his revenge at some point in the future.
