After using Agent Keen (Megan Boone) to force Reddington (James Spader) out of his cell, Anslo Garrick (Ritchie Coster) makes off with both his prize and Lizzie (who manages to escape but looses Red after Garrick’s men remove his tracking chip. With the entire program being shut down and the FBI washing their hands of Reddington on Fowler’s (Jane Alexander) orders, Lizzie enlists the help of Aram (Amir Arison) to find Reddington before its too late which leads her to make a shocking discovery as she meets, and kills, the man (Graeme Malcolm) who has bugged her home and watched her for the past several weeks.
As Garrick begins torturing Red with the help of a specialist, Lizzie relies on the help of the mysterious “Mr.” Kaplan (Susan Blommaert) who helps her dispose of the dead body less than 100 yards from her home and continue the search for Raymond Reddington. Keen, Kaplan, Dembe (Hisham Tawfiq), and a small army of Reddington’s personal soldiers storm an abandon factory. Although the don’t find their missing man, the do find an incredibly well-funded surveillance post who has been watching everyone involved with the top secret operations for months.
Meanwhile, with Reddington’s torture now official underway, Garrick’s boss (Alan Alda) who is the first man we’ve seen who Reddington obviously fears (is this “the adversary?”). The episode ends with several small revelations as we learn about a deal Reddington made years ago to guarantee his survival, Lizzie begins to suspect the truth about her parentage (which Reddington denies), Reddington once again cautions Lizzie on trusting her husband (Ryan Eggold), and the unit is put back together with an important purpose: find Raymond Reddington and discover who has been spying on them for months (the one secret it appears the man can never share without extreme threat to his own life).
