Two investigations collide when the latest name on the Blacklist, who may have some involvement in Elizabeth Keen‘s death, turns out to be the same graduate student Harold (Harry Lennix) had the Marshal Service disappear into protective service because the man is somehow connected to the attempt to frame an Assistant Director of the FBI for murder. The team quickly discovers the connection causing suspicion and distrust, and forcing Harold to come clean to them and Reddington (James Spader), and later Panabaker (Deirdre Lovejoy), about his recent actions.
Once he knows the truth, it doesn’t take long for Reddington to get his hands on Andrew Kennsion (Joe Carroll) who tells the story of a NYPD Police Detective (Ross Partridge) who wanted to use his medical prototype tracking device for a different purpose which matches with Harold’s internal investigation which also leads back to the NYPD. As Cooper is put under arrest, separately both the team and Reddington race to find the former NYPD Detective searching for answers that only he can provide on not one but two separate cases but even after getting their hands on the man someone very powerful takes steps to make sure he doesn’t give any useful information to the FBI.
