- Title: The Big Bang Theory – The Raiders Minimization
- wiki: link
After Amy (Mayim Bialik) ruins one of Sheldon‘s (Jim Parsons) favorite movies by commenting on how Indiana Jones is completely extraneous to the events of Raiders of the Lost Ark, the whackadoodle begins seeking something his girlfriend holds dear and rip it to shreds as an appropriate revenge.
Leonard (Johnny Galecki) becomes upset when Penny (Kaley Cuoco) decides to read his mother’s book for her psychology class (which is mostly a collection of how difficult his childhood was). However, he soon discovers he can play on the guilt of the situation to get whatever he wants from his girlfriend. Howard‘s (Simon Helberg) attempt to use the same moves on Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) not only get shot down, but prove to be the end of Leonard’s fun as well. and in the episode’s other story Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Stuart (Kevin Sussman) decide to create dating profiles.
Although it gives something for Raj and Stuart to do, the third storyline is mostly pointless and doesn’t offer much in the way of laughs (with the possible exception of Stuart posing for his profile picture). The Leonard/Penny storyline feels a bit rushed, and ends in predictable fashion. However, I’m most disappointed in the main story as Sheldon’s growth as both a person and boyfriend seems to be thrown completely out of the window as he goes out of the way to ruin something precious of Amy’s even after they’ve worked through their problem.
