- Title: Teen Titans Go! – Opposites
- wiki: link
Set chronologically before last week’s Valentine’s Day episode, “Opposites” explains the mutual attraction between Cyborg (Khary Payton) and Jinx (Lauren Tom) who try their best (i.e. not all that well) to hide their feelings and burgeoning romantic relationship from both the Titans and the H.I.V.E.
After discovering proof of the relationship Robin (Scott Menville) and Gizmo (Tom) order the pair to stop seeing each other leading to a mopey montage for each character. Unable to stand the sorrow of their teammates, each team independently decides to switch sides (allowing Jinx and Cyborg to be together) leading to the reversal of the opening fight sequence as the Titans rob a bank only to be caught in the act by the heroic H.I.V.E. leading to the couple’s first fight and eventual reconciliation.
Showing “Be Mine” and “Opposites” out of order led to a bit of unnecessary confusion as to why Cyborg and Jinx were all the sudden making googly eyes at each other (which is finally explained here). Taken in either order, it is interesting to note that the two episodes feature members of the Titans being attracted to super-villains (leading me to wonder whether this trend will continue).
I cracked up at that clip.
