- Title: Teen Titans Go! – Breakfast Cheese
- wiki: link
After Starfire (Hynden Walch) becomes concerned that the team’s level of violence isn’t solving the problem of preventing crime and seems to be leading to the team being more confrontational and competitive inside Titan’s Tower, she slowly begins to convince the group to give peace a chance.
Winning members of the group over one by one, with only Robin (Scott Menville) as the remaining hold-out (until a venomous spider-bite leaves him loopy enough to join), the Titans put their new strategy to work by trying to stop the H.I.V.E. Five with kindness rather than fists, missiles, and face lasers.
Despite being saddled with a dumb title, “Breakfast Cheese” does offer a nice message to kids about dealing with their problems in non-violent ways. It also provides some seriously cute moments such as Beast Boy (Greg Cipes) and Cyborg (Khary Payton) enjoying a new favorite video game involving tickling puppies. On the other hand it also feels very much like a joke without a punch line as Starfire’s approach would inevitably get all of the members killed by any legitimate threat (something the episode refuses to deal with before its abrupt ending).
I enjoy this show.
