- Title: Stitchers – The Root of All Evil
- wiki: link
While investigating the death of a young woman (Monica Barbaro) who enjoyed breaking into expensive houses to throw lavish parties when the owners were out of town the Stitchers crew is surprised by the arrival of Kirsten‘s (Emma Ishta) world-hopping boyfriend Liam (Jack Turner) whom she has never mentioned. A little more snooping into the home of the young woman’s latest victims uncovers an elicit affair, a blackmail plot, and the reason for her demise.
Liam’s introduction overshadows what isn’t much of a mystery of the week involving a victim of little importance who was seemingly chosen at random (seriously, wasn’t there any higher profile cases the team would have been better served solving?). Despite Camille (Allison Scagliotti) uncovering no red flags when vetting her roommate’s near-perfect boyfriend, who of course immeadiately makes Cameron (Kyle Harris) jealous, Maggie (Salli Richardson-Whitfield) suspects there may be more to the man than meets the eye. Liam’s true motivations, and his connection to yet another mysterious stranger (damn this show is an unbearable cock tease) sets up another ongoing storyline for the show which, despite several blemishes marring an otherwise forgettable First Season, has already been renewed.
