- Title: Star Wars: The Bad Batch – Juggernaut
- wiki: link
“Juggernaut” is a bit of a disappointment. The scenes of Omega (Michelle Ang) and her return to Tantiss are all filler when the final scene of her being escorted into the vault could easily have been the first. We get a reunion with Emerie Karr (Keisha Castle-Hughes) that doesn’t actually provide any on-screen furthering of the story or their relationship, and if you skipped the episode you wouldn’t miss a single beat of Omega’s storyline. If you need to stretch out Omega’s storyline to give the Batch time to find her, at least give her something to do.
The subplot of the squad provide more action but doesn’t move the story forward all that much either with the team breaking former Vice-Admiral Edmon Rampart (Noshir Dalal) out of prison only to discover he doesn’t know the location of Tantiss. However, we get a tease of another mini-mission that eventually might lead to something, possibly… or not. The only thing of note, other than the action (which is broadly fine), is the interaction between Rampart and Crosshair (Dee Bradley Baker), although that’s hardly enough to justify this as an episode of the final season.
