Throwback Tuesday takes us back to the unsolved crimes of passion in the wealthy playground of Palm Beach, Florida. Chris (Rob Estes) and Rita (Mitzi Kapture) investigate the murder of a high-priced call girl (Sharon Case). The case is complicated by the fact that another prostitute (Hannah Cutrona) witnessed the crime but is too scared to come forward and the last client the two women were with was Donovan’s (William Anton) mentor Judge Bill Cafferty (Joseph Sirola) who is currently running for reelection.
Despite the judge’s night of debauchery to open the episode, he isn’t our killer nor was passion the motive for the crime. However, his involvement with the prostitutes and their pimp (Joseph Cali) will force Donovan to take a hard look at his friend and make a tough decision. The case also ties back to an old case for Rita involving the pimp who was able to wiggle free of a conviction back in her days on vice and now Donovan knows why.
