The third and fourth episodes of Reacher‘s Second Season lead the remaining reunited 110th Special Investigators Unit tracing back their clues to New Age where Swan (Shannon Kook) worked prior to his disappearance. The thread of Reacher (Alan Ritchson) beating up a cop gets picked up as he finds himself held by Detective Russo (Domenick Lombardozzi) for a few hours before eventually agreeing to work with Reacher as long as he and his comrades don’t do anything crazy… like, for example, break into New Age and steal the documents and computer servers they can get their hands on.
Digging in to New Age makes some members of the team question whether or not Swan was dirty, something which Reacher will not believe, while also revealing a lucrative government contract for the company involving missiles designed to beat all countermeasures and lucrative motive for murder. In their short stint in Boston we get the return of Finlay (Malcolm Goodwin) who helps with the questioning of a suspect and Dixon (Serinda Swann) getting the chance to play a honey trap. Along the way we will also see references to our mystery man working his way closer and closer to New Age.
Fun moments over the episode include Reacher getting a supply of guns for the crew from a local gun owner finding creative ways to skirt the law, Neagley (Maria Sten) and Dixon (Serinda Swann) getting into a shoot-out while f0llowing a New Age security pass straight into a death trap, the flashback to Swan’s final moments in the helicopter where he predicts Robert Patrick‘s run-in with “the big guy,” Reacher literally giving a guy a heart attack, the team making quick work of a biker gang who chose the wrong tourists to mess with, and of course the heist itself. Another solid two-hours marking the halfway point of the show’s impressive Second Season.
