- Title: Pretty Little Liars – No One Here Can Love or Understand Me
- wiki: link
Confession is the theme heading into next week’s summer finale as the Liars prepare to come clean to Lt. Tanner (Roma Maffia) about Alison‘s (Sasha Pieterse) lies (only to be stopped by A‘s latest threats), Melissa (Torrey DeVitto) leaves a message for Spencer (Troian Bellisario) shedding new light on the night Bethany Young died and the layers of lies in the Hastings family that spun out of those events, and, forced by an intervention with Spencer and Toby (Keegan Allen), Caleb (Tyler Blackburn) comes clean with Hanna (Ashley Benson) about the bizarre goings on in Ravenswood which continue to haunt him.
Aside from the regrettable events of Ravenswood being dredged up here (can’t we please forget the ill-adivsed supernatural spin-off?), “No One Here Can Love or Understand Me” works well bringing the Liars back together heading into next week’s mid-season finale. The episode leaves the Liars united and strong but all equally questioning Alison’s true intentions (the possibility of her being A is even raised again for the first time since her return), especially after Emily (Shay Mitchell) gets Ezra‘s (Ian Harding) help to prove a far-too-convenient connection between Ali and her would-be kidnapper.
Hanna and Caleb’s relationship isn’t the only one to go through rocky times as Aria (Lucy Hale) continues to struggle with her brother’s relationship with Mona (Janel Parrish) leading to an unexpected moment between the two frenemies, and Emily discovers it may be too late to try and patch up her relationship with Paige (Lindsey Shaw). With the news the show has been renewed for another two seasons I’m not expecting any big reveal during next week’s summer finale (or even the season’s finale for that matter). That said, the teaser for “Taking This One to the Grave” promises an arrest, a death, and possible comeuppance for one Alison DiLaurentis.
I think Aria will get arrested and Alison’s death will be faked again.
