- Title: Pretty Little Liars – March of Crimes

On the eve of Ella Montgomery‘s (Holly Marie Combs) rehearsal dinner the fracturing of the Liars continues as tension between Aria (Lucy Hale) and a boozing Hanna (Ashley Benson) hits an all-time high based on Hanna’s recent revelation about the man whom Aria’s mother plans to marry. Although Aria doesn’t accept Hanna’s word at face value she does begin to question Zack (Steve Talley) which leads to the truth eventually coming out only minutes before the beginning of the party. Caleb‘s (Tyler Blackburn) rash action leaves the groom-to-be with a fat lip but it also uncovers the fact that the entire incident was orchestrated by A simply to cause Aria’s family more pain.
“March of Crimes” brings revelations for both Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Spencer (Troian Bellisario) as well. The first breaks into Noel Kahn‘s (Brant Daugherty) locker finding damning evidence that contradicts the web of lies Alison (Sasha Pieterse) has spun about her time way, it also leads to a dangerous confrontation between Noel and Spencer that reveals the man’s motives and how he came into possession of the evidence. Spencer meanwhile discovers the connection between Sydney (Chloe Bridges) and Jenna (Tammin Sursok) that forces Emily to seriously reconsider her new friendship.
With the wedding ruined, but Hanna and Aria’s rift healed, the series moves forward with just one episode left before the summer finale. The episode’s final scene introduces a puzzling new element in a stranger who admits to being the man responsible for the kidnapping of Alison (which never actually happened). Whatever his true motives are, be it as an agent of A or of Lt. Tanner (Roma Maffia) in an attempt to catch Alison in a lie, it’s obvious that his confession is the bait for a trap which will likely have dire consequences for one or more of the Liars before the show heads into its fourth month break.
