As the opening episode introduced us to Clark Kent (Jack Quaid), the second-half of the premiere of My Adventures with Superman focuses on delivering us Superman. With a definite anime-styling, we see both young Clark and older Clark confront the buried alien ship that brought him Earth. While he abandoned a search for answers as a child, now his need to understand who he is forces him into the ship allowing him to unlock a costume obviously designed from the character’s New 52 run which Martha Kent (Kari Wahlgren) makes some immediate necessary aesthetic changes to before allowing her son out in the world.
Because we move into the action sequence after, and then wrap-up the Clark storyline at the end, we don’t really know what all Clark gleaned from this second experience with the spaceship. With Clark searching for answers and begging out of helping Lois Lane (Alice Lee) and Jimmy Olsen (Ishmel Sahid), his new friends go in search of the villains from the first episode believing they might lead them to Superman. Ultimately they turn out to be right as they get into so much danger, stuck in between two villains fighting, Superman needs to fly in from Smallville to rescue them. The episode also continues to present some chemistry between Lois and Clark, even after the unknown stranger from another world literally sweeps her off her feet.
