- Title: Masters of the Universe: Revolution – Ascension
- wiki: link
The two major threads of “Ascension” focus on Adam (Chris Wood) choosing between the crown and He-Man after the arrival of his uncle Keldor (William Shatner) and Teela (Melissa Benoist) beginning her journey to restore Preternia. An invasion by Skeletor (Mark Hamill) and his Motherboard virus which takes a few new victims before being sent packing thanks in large part to Keldor’s heroics making Adam’s choice easier (albeit also tipping the hand to the audience of the obvious twist far, far too soon).
While Adam’s quandary is of interest, having no choice other than being king or turning his kingdom over to a fake uncle he’s too oblivious to recognize undermines the conflict there. More interesting is Teela’s story convincing the dragon Granamyr to give her access to the forbidden magic needed. Not only do we get the return of Evil-Lyn (Lena Headey) here providing support to Teela but also a transformation by Teela giving the animated character the look of her original toy design for the first time.
