- Title: Lucifer – Resting Devil Face
- wiki: link
Learning his father has put aside his divine powers, making himself human to better understand the world his son has chosen to live in, and now has forgotten where he stored them, leads to more than a little panic from Lucifer (Tom Ellis), especially after God (Dennis Haysbert) goes missing. It also provides momentary temptation to Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt) whose choice to stay her hand leads to an unexpected revelation.
Not much thought went into the murder of the week which is really just a framework for Lucifer’s family, and Chloe (Lauren German), to work through their frustrations. We get more of freaked-out Dan (Kevin Alejandro), who God accidentally explodes and then puts back together before appearing to bury the hatchet about Detective Douche’s time with his ex-wife. Also thrown into the mix is Trixie (Scarlett Estevez) acting out and discovering the source of her frustration is with Lucifer and how he’s been treating her mother, although Trix doesn’t know the celestial backstory, offering a nice mother/daughter moment for the pair. And the episode finally gives us the first meeting of God and Ella (Aimee Garcia), which is surprisingly uneventful given the steps taken to keep them apart for the previous couple of episodes.
