- Title: LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures – Peril on Kashyyyk
- wiki: link
Set during the period between The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, LEGO Star Wars: The Freemaker Adventures focuses on the three Freemaker siblings who run a scavenger business. The eldest, Zander (Eugene Byrd), is the group’s primary mechanic and pilot. A bit enthusiastic at times, Zander’s love of starships occasionally gets him into trouble. The youngest Freemaker, Rowan (Nicolas Cantu), has a knack for finding trouble as well – especially after he begins showing Force sensitivity and a connection to the lost Kyber crystals whose power the Emperor (Trevor Devall) covets. Meanwhile, the responsible member of the group, Kordi (Vanessa Lengies), tries to keep her brothers in line.
The group is rounded out by by their B1 battle droid R0-GR (Matthew Wood) and Rowan’s new friend and master Jedi Naare (Grey Griffin) who needs Rowan’s help to find the crystals. What the Freemakers don’t yet realize is Naare is actually a Sith working for the Emperor and Darth Vader (Matt Sloan). Centered on a side mission by the group to pay he rent rather than finding a crystal, “Peril on Kashyyyk” takes the Freemakers to the Wookiee homeworld of Kashyyyk where the retrieval of some wood paneling gets them caught up in a Wookiee rescue mission.
The series features the same lighthearted action of the previous LEGO Star Wars cartoons. “Peril on Kashyyyk” is notable for the the appearance of Richard Kind as an Imperial officer reluctant to let anyone know a small ship has broken through the Imperial blockade of the planet. Despite his best efforts to remain forgotten and insignificant to the Empire (understanding any undo attention could get an Imperial officer killed), the events of Kashyyyk bring the soldier to the attention of Vader and the Empire. As for Rowan and his siblings, they may fail to bring home the prize they sought but they are able to help the Wookiees and find another crystal as well.
