Po (Mick Wingert) begins to fear his father has replaced him when Gahri (Fred Tatasciore) has a falling out with Fung (John DiMaggio) and the rest of the crocodile bandits and Mr. Ping (James Hong) decides to adopt the former bandit and give him a job at the noodle shop.
Seeing how well the two get along, and how much better Gahri is at both cooking and waiting on customers, Po comes up with a plan to hang-out with Fung in a poor attempt to make Gahri and his father jealous. When that fails, Fun decides to frame Gahri for a robbery but Po’s life spins completely out of control when Mr. Ping takes the blame and is arrested for the crime.
By the end of “The Break-Up” the show restores the status quo, with a sequence that doesn’t really make sense considering Po spent several minutes beating up official guards without any punishment. Although not surprising, it is a little disappointing considering how well Gahri in at the noodle shop and how he provided a someone new for Mr. Ping to work with now that Po is off fighting evil most of the time as the Dragon Warrior. Leaving him in the noodle shop would also have shaken-up the status quo and opened up the door to an interesting subplot Kung Fu Panda: Legends of Awesomeness could have milked throughout the season.
