- Title: Human Target – Rewind

The show’s second episode sends Christopher Chance (Mark Valley) and Winston (Chi McBride) on-board a commercial flight to protect a hacker in possession of an Internet skeleton key which the wrong people will kill to get their hands on. Unsure as to what Casper (Ali Liebert) looks like or how the threat will unfold, Chance takes on the role of a passenger while Winston draws the short straw as one of flight attendants. Unfortunately for the good guys, the bad guys had the same idea putting members of their own team in the same locations. Chance is able to deal with the hitman among the passengers but Flight Attendant Laura (Courtney Ford) proves to be a bit trickier.
There’s plenty of suspense and action in the main story in not only identifying their target and neutralizing the hitmen onboard the plane but also dealing with an overzealous Air Marshal (Tobias Slezak), who arrests Chance after he subdues the first hitman, and finding a way to land an upside-down burning plane with a bomb on-board after both pilots are knocked out by the bad guys. Not for the last time in the series Chance offers advice to someone he sees as stuck in a life very much like he was before finding Winston and his current job. Unfortunately Laura doesn’t take him up on his offer.
“Rewind” also offers a B-story involving Guerrero (Jackie Earle Haley) taking advantage of both Chance and Winston’s absence to do a little snooping around the office and deliver an important file to a shady buyer (Sean Owen Roberts) who wants to know the details of Chance’s first case with Winston. The subplot includes a nice final twist underlining the fact that despite all the unsavory things Guerrero is capable of betraying Chance isn’t one of them. The foreshadow continues to offers us hints about Chance’s past while laying the foundantion for the First Season’s finale when the entire story will be revealed.
