After Tamara’s (Nia Long) snafu with Pinkus (Kevin Dobson), Marty (Don Cheadle) and Clyde (Ben Schwartz) try to make the best out of their trip to Las Vegas by partying with the douchebag nightclub twins (Evan Hart, Taylor Gerard Hart) in hopes of getting a meeting with Michael Carlson (Mather Zickel), a self-made Vegas millionaire with a renown hatred of consultants.
With time off to themselves Jeanie (Kristen Bell) and Tamara take a trip to the spa for some awkward girl-time between two women who don’t really know or trust each other. Meanwhile Doug (Josh Lawson), banned from the casinos and not invited into his coworkers’ plans, makes his own trip to a low-rent spa that ends with a shock, although his trip back for seconds doesn’t go nearly as well.
Marty and Clyde party hard with the douchebag twins in an all-nighter of sex and booze before springing their trap over breakfast and getting the twins to arrange a meeting with Carlson. Although the pitch doesn’t go exactly as planned with the flaky bastard of a billionaire, Marty is able to chalk up the trip as a win and return home with the Pod with a tentative deal for the group to work for Carlson on spec for the foreseeable future.
Back home Monica (Dawn Olivieri) continues to play the reformed nurturing parent to Roscoe (Donis Leonard Jr.), to the utter disbelief of Jeremiah (Glynn Turman), and after a terrible date sleeps with her housekeeper Tessa (Ronete Levenson). We’ll have to see how this effects the new Monica, and how Roscoe takes the news about his mother’s new love interest. Off next week, the show returns February 10th with Cheadle’s Ocean’s Eleven pal Matt Damon playing an exaggerated version of himself in what’s sure to be a memorable episode.
