- Title: Hooten & the Lady – Cambodia
- IMDb: link
Despite his attempts to keep her out of his latest expedition, Alex (Ophelia Lovibond) shows up in Cambodia to help Hooten (Michael Landes) hunt for the Cintamani jewel. With the help of a local kid (Jay Heyman), Hooten has been able to find most of the relics needed, although he’ll need Alex’s help to get past some drug runners and decipher the clues leading to the jewel’s location. The trouble is that they aren’t the only ones on the hunt. Hooten’s old partner Kane (Vincent Regan) is also searching for the prize.
The additional of the young Jian adds something new to the search for yet another mythical treasure. The introduction of Hooten’s sworn enemy, who is knocked off before the end of the episode after limited screentime, feels a bit rushed. This was what all that build-up was for? By the end of the episode Hooten and Alex have recovered the jewel, Kane is no longer a threat, Alex’s position at the British Museum is rock-solid once more, and the only thing standing in the way of Alex’s wedding is one “last” treasure hunt.
