- Title: Graceland – B-Positive

Graceland‘s Third Season opens ten days after last season’s finale with Mike Warren (Aaron Tveit) officially dead to the world while recuperating in a hospital under an assumed name, Paige (Serinda Swan) continues to be wracked by guilt over her rash choice to send Sid (Carmine Giovinazzo) to kill her friend and colleague, and Johnny (Manny Montana) stuck in a no-win situation with Carlito (Erik Valdez) and the cartel. Although all of these storylines will be touched on none will be fully solved leaving that thread dangling to be dealt with over the rest of the season.
“B-Positive” also introduces a new ongoing villain for the series in Ari Adamian (Rhys Coiro), a high-ranking member in the Sarkissian crime family that an over-zealous FBI agent (Lawrence Gilliard Jr.) believes can use to take down the entire operation. To do so, however, he’ll need the help of Briggs (Daniel Sunjata) whose cooperation he can leverage now that the tape of Juan Badillo‘s (Pedro Pascal) death has fallen into his hands.
The season deals with the fallout of last season’s finale but makes no attempt to adequately conclude them. I would have preferred to see the Sid storyline come to a more definitive conclusion as the corrupt LAPD Detective is allowed to escape and will almost definitley return to trouble Graceland at some future date. The Sarkissian storyline is also problematic as it follows last season’s Solano arc (itself not finished) far too closely for my tastes complete with a crazy gangster a member of Graceland will have to cozy up to over the course of the season.
