Under presssure from Principal Figgins (Iqbal Theba) to make something of her senior class presidency Brittany (Heather Morris) starts planning a dinosaur-themed prom (where all hair gel is banned), sending prom king and queen hopefuls Brittany, Santana (Naya Rivera), Quinn (Dianna Agron) and Finn (Cory Monteith) into campaign mode, feeling less than thrilled at the prospect of attending the prom Rachel (Lea Michele), Kurt (Chris Colfer), and Blaine (Darren Criss) begin planning an alternative celebration.
As Becky (Lauren Potter) lashes out after not being nominated for prom queen, Rachel tries to move on after blowing her dream audition last week, Joe (Samuel Larsen) helps Quinn slowly begin to take her first steps following her accident which leads to Finn going ballistic at the prom realizing that she’s lied to him yet again. Realizing he’s made a mistake he leaves to recruit Rachel and the other anti-prom members (including a har-gel-less Blaine) into celebrating the prom with their friends.
There are some nice moments throughout including Puck (Mark Salling) proving to be the gallant gentleman and raising Becky’s spirits by crowing her the anti-prom queen and escorting her to the prom, the odd but pretty cool dinosaur theme, and Quinn and Santana’s ballot stuffing to give the one person they know who really needs it a perfect prom moment.
This week’s only non-prom song is Rachel, Kurt, and Blaine performance of Fergie‘s “Big Girls Don’t Cry,” And once again New Directions performs at the prom giving us Brittany and the Cheerios performing Ke$ha‘s “Dinosaur,” Santana, Tina, and Brittany sing Selena Gomez & the Scene‘s “Love You Like a Love Song,” Joe, Rory (Damian McGinty), Artie (Kevin McHale) and Sam (Chord Overstreet) perform One Direction‘s “What Makes You Beautiful,” and Quinn and Santana sing Berlin‘s “Take My Breath Away” for the king and queen dance.
