- Title: Galavant – Dungeons and Dragon Lady

Rescued from the hangman’s noose from by his former lover our brave, if dimwitted, hero is only further confused by the kind of love Madalena (Mallory Jansen) is prepared to offer. Dimly realizing that the love of his life isn’t quite who he envisioned her to be, Galavant (Joshua Sasse) is returned to the dungeon while the Queen prepares her own surprise for King Richard (Timothy Omundson) in the form of inviting his elder brother (Rutger Hauer) to return and reclaim his rightful throne.
By the end of “Dungeons and Dragon Lady” Galavant and Isabella (Karen David) will put aside the lies and admit their true feelings for each other (in song, of course). The episode’s subplot involves another celebrity guest-star as Ricky Gervais stars as Xanax the magician (well, not magician exactly… more like a spiritual advisor) who takes Richard and the Chef (Darren Evans) on a chemical-induced journey revealing the key moment in the King’s life. Richard’s new-found understanding, and bravery to stand-up to his wife, may have come too late given Kingsley’s return (also further complicating Galavant’s plans to rescue Isabel and save the kingdom).
