- Title: Galavant – Comedy Gold

Discovering Madalena’s (Mallory Jansen) affair with the Jester (Ben Presley), King Richard (Timothy Omundson) decides to do the unexpected. Rather than seek vengeance from one or both of the parties who wronged him by cutting their faces off and sewing them back inside-out (although he does consider it), the king implores the Jester to instruct Richard how to be funny believing it is that quality which will finally allow him to win the affection of his wife. It goes about as well as you would expect. Poor King Richard.
As for our heroes, on the road to Valencia Galavant (Joshua Sasse) and his friends are taken captive by bickering marooned land pirates (like pirates of the sea except, you know, on land) and their Pirate King (Hugh Bonneville). Putting aside their recent bickering, Galavant, Sid (Luke Youngblood), and Isabella (Karen David) work together to take down the pirates and even agree to help them resume their rightful pillaging on the seven seas if the scallywags will give them ride to Valencia thus shortening their journey (which, with the end of this episode, hits the half-way point of the eight-episode series run).
