“This is a mistake, but at least we’ll make it together.”
In the Third Season finale Annie (Piper Perabo) calls on the help of Auggie (Christopher Gorham) and one of Barber’s local assets to help free Eyal (Oded Fehr) who is being held by Khalid (Haaz Sleiman) in Amsterdam. In order to get the information Khalid demands in exchange for Eyal’s safe return, Annie gets herself beaten and breaks into the U.S. Consulate to retrieve confidential information about CIA assets working undercover in Khalid’s operation.
Unwilling to let Annie hand over information on CIA assets, Auggie comes up with a crazy alternative plan by calling on one of his old assets (Seann Gallagher) for a specialized gun and gives Annie to the very public opportunity to “kill” the former Mossad agent in front of dozens of witnesses, including Khalid. The spectacle goes according to plan, but when Joan (Kari Matchett) and Arthur (Peter Gallagher) contact the three spies on their way safely out of the county, Annie learns that unless she takes out Khalid in the next hour the terrorist will return to Saudi Arabia and will be out of the reach of both Interpol or the CIA for his crimes.
Sneaking away from Eyal and Auggie, Annie sets off alone to finish her personal battle with Khalid once and for all, but instead of killing him Annie does something far worse by shattering the terrorists world and sends the man home knowing his father (Erick Avari) ordered Megan’s (Michelle Nolden) death. Annie returns home to some heavy smooching with Auggie when the pair finally admit their feelings to each other and to accept an unexpected sales pitch from the recently released Henry Wilcox (Gregory Itzin).
The Third Season goes out with another strong episode as the show says goodbye (at least for now) to Eyal, as well as set up big storylines for next season including big changes Annie and Auggie’s relationship and the truth behind whatever was in that folder Henry Wilcox shared with our heroine. The only bad news is we’ll have to wait until next summer to see how it all shakes out.
