After calling in an old friend (Bonita Friedericy) to remove the Intersect from Morgan (Joshua Gomez) and getting the CIA to call off their hit, Chuck (Zachary Levi), Sarah (Yvonne Strahovski), and Casey (Adam Baldwin) still have to deal with one assassin sent by Decker (Richard Burgi) who can’t be recalled and has never failed to complete a mission.
To flush out the mysterious Viper, Chuck assumes Morgan’s identity at the Buy More Salesperson of the Year event. The early attempts to uncover the identity of the assassin at the Buy More pool party doesn’t net a killer but it does allow both Chuck and Sarah to make several new unusual Buy More friends (David Koechner, Catherine Dent, Steve Monroe, Judith Benezra) and gives the show an excuse to get Sarah back into a Nerd Herd uniform.
After the killer is caught things get back to normal in the Buy More as Morgan attempts to regain his lost movie trivia knowledge and apologize to Alex (Mekenna Melvin) for his recent behavior. That is until the real Viper shows up to kill Morgan now that the team have dropped their guard.
A fun episode all around including a chance to see Chuck disarm a bomb without the Intersect, Lester’s (Vik Sahay) attempts to change Jeff (Scott Krinsky) back into his old self have unforeseen consequences, Casey reminding us why he’s one of the best, Sarah realizing that her world is full of real friends, and a late twist that will have big repercussions for the show’s final episodes.
