Scary Sunday takes us back to the second Halloween episode of Bob’s Burgers featuring Gene (Eugene Mirman), Louise (Kristen Schaal), and Tina (Dan Mintz) getting trapped in their (admittedly awesome) cardboard fort on Halloween night along with Andy (Laura Silverman), Ollie (Sarah Silverman), and Daryl (Aziz Ansari) missing their chance to go trick-or-treating. Concentrating on making the kids a dragon costume, it takes quite some time for Bob (H. Jon Benjamin) and Linda (John Roberts) to notice the kids aren’t around.
The other notable character in the episode is Millie Frock (Molly Shannon) whose annoying attempts to hang out with Louise rub her the wrong way eventually causing Louise to blow up at the only one who could have helped the trapped kids out. Spurned, Millie decides to torture the kids and then rubs salt in the wound by convincing Linda and Bob that the kids went trick-or-treating without them causing the parents to have their own misadventures in the unfinished dragon costume. The kids do get a bit of revenge in the epilogue, as they manage to convince Millie she’s responsible for their deaths and steal her candy (a pretty dark ending, but the preceding events sell the idea of karma biting Millie in the ass and everyone getting their just desserts, so to speak).
