- Title: Beware the Batman – Tests
- wiki: link
As Bruce Wayne (Anthony Ruivivar) continues to test the skills of Tatsu (Sumalee Montano) by dropping breadcrumbs to see how much of his secret she can unravel, Batman deals with a pair of vandals with delusions of being great artists who keep popping up night after night with more advanced weapons. It doesn’t take long for the Caped Crusader to suspect that someone is controlling them from the shadows.
I didn’t expect Beware the Batman to prolong the mystery of Bruce Wayne for Tatsu for this long, but it’s actually working in the show’s favor. Although she discovers hidden elevators, private libraries, and insanely advanced training rooms in Wayne Manor she doesn’t make it down to the Batcave nor has she quite caught on to who her new boss truly is. Alfred’s (JB Blanc) injury keeps him out of the action, although he does finally get to “drive” the Batmobile.
With Anarky (Wallace Langham) the show continues its trend of lesser-known villains. Anarky’s simple motives of chaos work well for a cartoon villain, and his methods of working from the shadows while getting others to do his work was a nice touch as wel. I was a bit disappointed with how the villain was able to continually fight Batman to a standstill, however. If this Batman can barely fight off Anarky, how is he supposed to deal with much tougher foes in the future?
