- Title: Beware the Batman – Games
- wiki: link
The return of Humpty Dumpty (Matt L. Jones) isn’t pleasant for Batman (Anthony Ruivivar), Katana (Sumalee Montano), Gordon (Kurtwood Smith), Mayor Grange (CCH Pounder), or Tobias Whale (Michael-Leon Wooley), all of whom awake to find themselves kidnapped and trapped in the middle of some diabolic game involving a murder mystery and plenty of traps and twists for each of the participants to solve.
While some members of the group attempt to run or seek escape, Batman becomes hyper-focused on working on the problem and winning the game (to an extent even Katana begins to question his motives). After solving each of Dumpty’s clues, the Dark Knight Detective eventually puts together the identity of the victim as an innocent smuggler who each of the five forced contestants unwittingly played a role in putting behind bars.
The structure of “Games” makes it one of the show’s more memorable episodes and highlights Batman’s mental acuity. In terms of the show’s continuing arc, the continued absence of Alfred (JB Blanc) is felt as Batman’s relationship with Katana has grown more contentious and Bruce Wayne begins loosing himself completely in his alter-ego.
