Battle of the Belts featured three championship matches with Orange Cassidy defending against Dralístico, Jade Cargill vs. Billie Starkz, and the Lucha Brothers defending against the team of QT Marshall and Powerhouse Hobbs.
Highlights:
- Picking up directly from the end of AEW Rampage, Orange Cassidy (passing Julia Hart on her way to the back) defended the AEW International Championship against Dralístico. The theme of Cassidy winning but continuing pick up nagging injuries continued. Cassidy’s victory was immediately followed by a House of Black challenge setting up a match between Cassidy and Buddy Matthews on AEW Dynamite.
- Longer than your usual Jade Cargill squash match, the champion had some trouble with the young Billie Starkz before eventually putting her away. Cargill’s streak was never in doubt, but the announcers did put over Starkz as a wrestling prodigy in her defeat.
- The Lucha Bros. successfully defended the Ring of Honor Tag Team Championship by defeating Powerhouse Hobbs and QT Marshall with Marshall (of course) taking the fall. Will this be the beginning of the end for the pair and allow Hobbs to move on to singles feuds defending the TNT Championship?
Lows:
- None
Less Notable:
- Backstage segment between Mark Briscoe and Jay Lethal playing on their familiarity with each other and Lethal apparently tricking Mark into joining Team TNA.
- Recap package from AEW Dynamite featuring the tag team win by FTR and the arrival of Jay White.
- Backstage interview with Brandon Cutler and Michael Nakazawa setting up what will likely be a squash match for Jon Moxley and Claudio Castagnoli on AEW Dynamite.
