- Title: Babylon 5 – Survivors

Our Throwback Thursday post takes us back to the space station of humans and aliens all alone in the night. “Survivors” is a character-driven episode as someone frames Garibaldi (Jerry Doyle) for a terrorist bombing in one of the hanger bays just days before the President’s arrival. Complicating the matter is the investigation is handled by the President’s Chief of Security (Elaine Thomas) who has more than a little personal baggage where Garibaldi is concerned and still blames him for the death of her father years before. While far from a stand-out episode, “Survivors” does fill in a bit of backstory for Garibaldi and showcase his resilience and resourcefulness when he becomes a fugitive aboard the station. The reveal that Homeguard is responsible for the bombing is foreshadowing for more trouble the station will have with the group in the years to come.
