- Title: Atlantis – Hunger Pangs

The latest episode of Atlantis is even goofier than usual (one of the characters actually lights himself on fire on purpose) as a starving Jason (Jack Donnelly) steals and eats meat from a shrine to the goddess Hecate. Pythagoras (Robert Emms) and Hercules (Mark Addy) become increasingly concerned with their friend’s odd behavior which includes waking up nude in an animal pen every morning. In an attempt to cure their friend, Pythagoras calls on the help of Princess Ariadne (Aiysha Hart) to acquire the silver necessary in breaking the curse.
Of course Ariadne’s concern for her leads to a series of awkward moments between the princess and Jason (who refuses to admit what’s wrong with him). And Pythagoras’ carefully-laid plan is almost foiled by an angry customer who forces both Hercules and Pythagoras into making good on their promise to clean his stockroom of rats before helping their friend.
Although the situation with Jason is actually quite serious, the show plays it off almost entirely as camp (such as the scene between Jason and Ariadne) which comes off amusing but, as I said before, even goofier than usual. In ongoing stories we see more of Heptarian (Oliver Walker) who hasn’t left the city after his marriage plans fell through and Pasiphae (Sarah Parish) continuing to poison her husband King Minos (Alexander Siddig) leading into the two-part season finale.
