- Title: Arrow – Haunted

“Haunted” not only brings in special guest-star Matt Ryan as John Constantine to help restore the soul of Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), but the episode’s flashbacks also give us the first meeting between the pair on Lian Yu and offer an explanation for another of Oliver‘s (Stephen Amell) tattoos. Although I thought Constantine had some problems, I grew to like Ryan as the occult detective. It’s fun to see him reprise his role here, especially with news that this won’t be the last we see of him in the shared TV universe.
Constantine’s offhand remark about Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) not only foreshadows the trouble to come but also gives the character a little more street cred given Constantine’s fear of the man’s power. With Sara restored, and apparently on the mend, and show finally picking up the thread that Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) is alive, the show sets the stage to bring back two more crucial cast members for the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow spin-off.
Laurel (Katie Cassidy) is given the chance to play a larger role in apprehending her sister, working with Oliver and Constantine to bring back her soul from the beyond, and deal with the consequences of lying to Oliver about Sara’s resurrection. Despite Oliver and Laurel making peace by the end of the episodes, I wonder how Sara’s return may effect our hero’s relationships to both Lance sisters and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards).
