- Title: Arrow – Broken Hearts

Cupid (Amy Gumenick) is a character of diminishing returns. By this point Arrow has gotten everything it’s going to get out of the psychotic love-obsessed archer, but that doesn’t stop the show from going back to the well once more. This time a grieving Cupid comes to town targeting loving couples. Of course this means the recently split Oliver (Stephen Amell) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) will be forced into a contrived wedding setup to catch the killer.
Gumenick is still enjoyable as the character but there’s nothing here we haven’t seen before. I’m also confused why she doesn’t recognize that Green Arrow is the same guy as the man she professed to love (does the sleeveless tunic really make him look that different)? The episode’s B-story follows Laurel’s (Katie Cassidy) struggle attempts to get Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough) held over for trial in a city where no one wants to stand up to the villain or H.I.V.E. The episode does offer the compelling testimony of Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) who is forced to incriminate himself to keep Darkh in prison. Guess that means Green Arrow will need a new friend on the police force for the foreseeable future.
