The sixth and seventh episodes of A Discovery of Witches will reveal a truth about Diana Bishop (Teresa Palmer) and the lengths her parents went to in order to keep her safe from Peter Knox (Owen Teale). After being kidnapped by Satu (Malin Buska) and delivered to Gerbert D’Aurillac (Trevor Eve), the witch attempts to torture the truth out of Diana. The ordeal will have unexpected consequences leaving Satu drained and Diana’s power reawoken with questions that can only be answered by her family.
After rescuing her, Matthew Clairmont (Matthew Goode) takes Diana home where her aunts (and their haunted house providing a visual flashback) confirm Diana had been spellbound by her parents (and not the Paula Abdul version). Diana’s power, but also her lack of awareness or control is explained while Gerbert and Knox continue their own machinations to get Diana under their power. We see a little of Diana training leading to a cliffhanger ending and her first meeting with Juliette Durand (Elarica Johnson) who apparently has finally tracked Matthew down.
