- Title: 24: Live Another Day – Part 7

The season’s seventh episode sends Jack Bauer (Kiefer Sutherland) and Kate Morgan (Yvonne Strahovski) into a British hospital in an attempt to find Simone (Emily Berrington) and get the severely-injured young woman to turn on her mother Margot Al-Harazi (Michelle Fairley) before Margot makes good on her threats and begins bombing civilian targets with the drones under her control.
Unable to reason or force Simone into giving up her mother, the pair are given hope after learning from Yasmin (Nikita Mehta) that Simone attempted to get Yasmn’s mother (Tehmina Sunny) to flee the country before killing her. Believing there is a chance they may turn Simone given enough time, but not enough time to meet Margot’s deadline, Bauer and Kate flee the hospital and speed across London to try and stay one-step ahead of one of Margot’s drones she sends in to kill the daughter who she can no longer trust and knows enough to ruin her plans.
Continuing to move other storylines forward, after the bombing of the London hospital President Heller (William Devane) decides to give himself up to Margot, attempting to cover-up the truth of his treason Navarro (Benjamin Bratt)sets up a far-too-inquisitive Jordan Reed (Giles Matthey) to be killed, and Boudreau (Tate Donovan) attempts to buy time with the Russians who want Jack Bauer’s head served to them on a platter.
Although I understand Heller’s reasoning given the fact that his medical condition is already bringing his competence into question, I have a hard time believing Heller can sneak away and give himself to a terrorist without anyone batting an eye (which is apparently what we’ll see next week). The thoroughly-botched (not to mention rushed and arguably unnecessary) attempt on Jordan’s life moves the truth behind Kate’s husband back into play although I’m not sure exactly how it will tie-in to the larger Al-Harazi storyline (or if we’ll only see it finally take over once the threat of Margot has been neutralized).
