Young Jedi Adventures - Lys and the Snowy Mountain Rescue

Lys Solay (Juliet Donenfeld),  Kai Brightstar (Jamaal Avery Jr.), and Nubs (Dee Bradley Baker) get a snowy adventure on the planet Andraven where they help locals Gumar (Liam James Ramos) and Jam (Julian Edwards) herd a group of Nubs (Dee Bradley Baker) (think tauntauns mixed with seals) over a mountain. As with all the episodes of the series, the trio of young Jedi learn a lesson in their snowy trip which is complicated first by an avalanche and later by the loss of Jam in a snowstorm. However, not loosing her cool, Lys takes a moment, calms herself, and lets the Force guide her reuniting the group and allowing them all to slide down the mountain together for a warm reception and celebration.

Young Jedi Adventures – The Junk Giant

Taborr (Trey Diaz Murphy) and his friends return for “The Junk Giant” as Kai Brightstar (Jamaal Avery Jr.) and Lys Solay (Juliet Donenfeld) discover they are responsible for the thefts from the local junk yard, building themselves a large droid to help with their schemes. While the Jedi fight off the droid, injuring it enough for Taborr to abandon it, in the end Kai takes the lesson he’s learned about objects having hidden value to heart and convinces the robot to turn to their side ultimately giving Jinara (Cree Summer) a new friend. Unfortunately, the structure of the episode means Nubs (Dee Bradley Baker) gets far less screentime than the Jedi, for the second adventure in a row, spending time cleaning up the junk yard while his friends get to have more fun.

With Nubs (Dee Bradley Baker) feeling under the weather and in danger of missing his own chance to see the eruption of the Kublop Geyser, Kai Brightstar (Jamaal Avery Jr.) and Lys Solay (Juliet Donenfeld) go on an adventure of their own to find a local herb which can heal their friend in time for the field trip. “Get Well Nubs” plays on the strength and weaknesses of each character with Kai racing ahead without thinking and Lys getting lost in the moment. Together, however, the two work together even when needing to fight their way through a gangul and return in time to enjoy the geyser with their friend.

While searching the Jedi Temple’s library, Kai Brightstar (Jamaal Avery Jr.), Lys Solay (Juliet Donenfeld), and Nubs (Dee Bradley Baker) stumble upon a hidden room behind some rubble and a star map to the Star Seeker, a ship lost centuries ago. With the permission of Master Zia (Nasim Pedrad), and calling on Nash Durango (Emma Berman) for a ride, the group go in search of the lost ship leading to an asteroid field and a deserted planet where they find the ship and run into a new friend 0G-LC (Michael Sinterniklaas) who lost his courage after crashlanding years before and just needs a little encouragement to get back into space.
