Elementary - It Serves You Right to Suffer TV review

The season’s ongoing B-story involving Watson‘s (Lucy Liu) relationship to Shinwell (Nelsan Ellis) comes to a head when he becomes involved in the shooting of a member from a rival gang. Believing his innocence, Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson have only three days to find the person responsible for the crime, explain Shinwell’s involvement, and prevent the man from going back to prison. The investigation leads back to a FBI agent (Dorian Missick) who both Shinwell and the victim were working for as off-the-book informants.

Elementary - How the Sausage Is Made

While investigating a murder involving a one victim killed after eating sausages made from a second murder victim, the trail leads Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson (Lucy Liu) to a cutting edge laboratory where the ground-up victim was working on perfecting a meat substitute. At first Sherlock believes that such a discovery, and its effect on the marketplace, may have gotten the man killed by a meat conglomerate (or “Big Meat” as Holmes takes to saying), however a second, more devious, motive is eventually uncovered.

Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson (Lucy Liu) are called in to investigate a murder the detectives believe are tied to the public Internet beatings and shaming of pedophiles. What they discover is more complicated, however, as one of the men beaten and exposed by their victim was actually innocent. And the true reason for his murder came from an entirely different motive.

Elementary - Henny Penny the Sky Is Falling

Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson (Lucy Liu) investigate the murder of a mathmatician whose recent published work has thrown an entire industry into a tizzy. Usually using his skills to find sound investments for his firm, the victim (who ends up skewered to a wall) spent weeks on a scientific paper suggesting how the space community searches for and targets asteroids which could be potentially harmful to the Earth is wrong. While it will take nearly a decade to sort out the truth of the man’s work (which Holmes and Watson discovers may have ulterior motives) the detectives run in circles seeking someone who would have a legitimate motive for the man’s untimely demise.

Elementary - Render, and then Seize Her

There are two cases in the latest episode of Elementary to monopolize the time of Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) and Watson (Lucy Liu). The first involves a murder at a nudist camp which is somehow related to a week-old kidnapping case. And the second involves Holmes being hired by Gregson‘s (Aidan Quinn) girlfriend (Virginia Madsen) to look into chicanery at her doctor’s office. While the first proves to be the more difficult of the two cases to solve, it’s the second that allows Holmes to insinuate himself into the personal life of his Captain with unexpected results.
