Several members of the Young Justice team are trapped in the Hall of Justice along with Zatanna (Lacey Chabert) and Captain Marvel (Chad Lowe) when Despero shows up looking for a fight and the heads of worthy opponents to stuff and mount on his wall. With the team totally cut-off from the rest of the world, and Zatanna comatose due to Despero’s mind control, Superboy (Nolan North), Miss Martian (Danica McKellar), Bumbleebee (Masasa Moyo), and Mal (Kevin Michael Richardson) are on their own to help Captain Marvel stop the warlord from littering the Hall of Justice with their corpses.

In Brightest Day, In Blackest Night, No Domo Shall Escape My Sight!

domo-green-lantern

It appears Domo Toys has made an agreement with DC Comics to craft a line of 4in. Domo-ized DC heroes including Green Lantern, Superman, Flash and Batman as well as a collection of 2in. Blind Box figures which include Captain Marvel and Two-Face. You can find more pics after the jump.

Justice League #14

justice-league-new-52-14-coverThe Justice League chases the Cheetah to the jungles of the Congo where Superman becomes infected by the curse and Wonder Woman is faced to deal with truth about the woman she once believed was her friend.

The “end” of the Cheetah story is a little awkward, especially given that it appears the super-villain’s plan was to be taken captive all along (and wasn’t searched for any transmission devices before being put in prison). Superman also take Diana home to Smallville for a little more mid-air smooching, which doesn’t go unnoticed by another member of the team. It will be interested to see where this storyline goes now that Batman knows about their relationship.

The Shazam! back-up story works a little better than usual as it is focused on Black Adam journeying out into the world with Dr. Sivana rather than the truly awful (not to mention unrecognizable) version of Captain Marvel that DC has presented us with as part of the New 52. Seriously, this character is already in serious need of a reboot. For fans.

SHAZAM! Guess who’s coming back to the DCU!

Although he’s not getting his own book, Captain Marvel (the real one – accept no substitutes!) will be making his first appearance in the back-up story of Justice League #5 in January. Now word yet on if any other members of the Marvel Family may make future appearances. C’mon, can’t we give Tawky Tawny and Hoppy the Marvel Bunny a little love, too?

If I Rebooted the DCU (Part Four)

if-i-rebooted-the-dcu-part-four

With DC Comics reboot of their entire universe with 52 new first issues now underway I take a final look at what I would do if I rebooted the DCU.

Where I could I kept ideas DC wanted to explore in the relaunch (when not incredibly stupid like Voodoo), and even included titles I’m personally not all that high on but characters I know have a devoted fan base. You’ll find I’ve also kept far more of the current titles than DC’s proposed reboot, and brought back a few personal favorites as well.
