Scooby-Doo! - A Gaggle of Galloping Ghosts

Throwback Tuesday takes us back to Scooby Doo, Where Are You! for another mystery involving some meddling kids and their talking dog. Mystery, Inc. takes a trip to Franken Castle, stopping at a fortune teller (June Foray) on the way who advises them to turn back. Ignoring the warning, the gang travels to the castle where they encounter a trio of monsters including Dracula, Frankenstein’s Monster, and a Wolfman. Clues uncovered over the course of the episode eventually lead to treasure hidden in the castle (and motive for someone to scare off anyone else that comes looking).

Psych 2: Lassie Come Home review

The follow-up to Psych: The Movie brings all the characters back to Santa Barbera to help the injured Carlton Lassiter (Timothy Omundson) recuperating, after being shot, in a luxurious hospital where odd things keep happening. It’s good to see Omundson back as he was only able to manage a cameo in Psych: The Movie while recovering from a stroke. The script writes in a stroke as part of his character’s recovery, and even if this Lassiter is more mellow than usual (at least one the Lassiter abrasiveness scale), his addition helps make Psych 2: Lassie Come Home feel like a more complete experience.

Scooby-Doo! - Bedlam in the Big Top TV review

Throwback Thursday takes us back to Scooby Doo, Where Are You! for another mystery involving some meddling kids and their talking dog. A run-in with two performers fleeing a circus leads Mystery, Inc. to investigate the mysterious events under the big top where a Ghost Clown (Barry Richards) has been chasing away all of the entertainers. There’s less haunting than usual, instead the Ghost Clown hypnotizes various characters into putting themselves in danger while sitting back to enjoy the show. Because so much of the episode is taken up by various members of the gang being hypnotized, there are also less clues to be discovered as the motives for the Ghost Clown turn out to be exactly as they appear.

Charlie's Angels - Dancing in the Dark television review

Throwback Tuesday takes us back to the tale of three beautiful former police officers turned private detectives working for a faceless boss known as Charlie. Despite it’s title, “Dancing in the Dark” does not involve the Angels working a Bruce Springsteen concert. Instead, the episode involves the Angels going after a blackmailing ring (run by John Van Dreelen and Dennis Cole) that targets lonely women in the public eye. Sabrina (Kate Jackson) goes in undercover as the mark, a socially awkward heiress to a large fortune, while Jill (Farrah Fawcett) becomes a dance instructor at the location where the blackmailers find their targets and Kelly (Jaclyn Smith) takes the place of the criminals’ private investigator (Logan Ramsey) who specializes in background checks and taking juicy photos for blackmail.
