Remington Steele (Pierce Brosnan) and Laura (Stephanie Zimbalist investigate the disappearance of an artist (Judith Roberts). All evidence, and motive, points to her boy toy husband (Reid Smith) who his mistress believes to be innocent despite his sudden disappearance as well. Then there’s the private detective, Leo Blitzman (Phil Rubenstein), who the husband hired to prove his innocence and find his wife’s missing paintings. Complicating things even further is the discovery that victim faked her own death in order to cash-in on the value of her remaining paintings except she eventually turns up dead, again with all evidence pointing to her husband.

Locke & Key - Trapper/Keeper television review

The second episode of the series centers mostly around the family settling in to their new surroundings. In one of the episode’s best scenes, Kinsey (Emilia Jones) has another freak-out with Scot (Petrice Jones) and his friends when shooting a scene for their homemade movie triggers flashbacks to her father’s death. Nina (Darby Stanchfield) meets a childhood friend of Randall‘s (Bill Heck) and learns about a tragedy which he never spoke about and Duncan (Aaron Ashmore) doesn’t seem to remember (making it seem very key related, despite the official story of a drowning). Tyler (Connor Jessup) faces some temptation in trying to fit in with a new crowd and Bode (Jackson Robert Scott) gets a return visit from his Echo (Laysla De Oliveira) who is enjoying the use of the Anywhere Key.

Scooby-Doo! - Scooby Doo and a Mummy, Too television review

Throwback Thursday takes us back to Scooby Doo, Where Are You! for another mystery involving some meddling kids and their talking dog. Mystery, Inc. investigate the Mummy of Pharaoh Ankha (John Stephenson) which appears to have come to life at the aptly-named Department of Archaeology. While looking for answers, the gang runs across both statues of the Professor (Don Messick) and Dr. Najib (Vic Perrin) made to look like the mummy petrified both men. After getting separated from Scooby (Don Messick), the gang find a statue of him as well (although it doesn’t take long for Scooby to dig out of the shed where he was being kept and break the illusion of petrification). While there’s some obvious holes in the idea of the quick molds (not to mention the impossibilities of a mystical table saw), the statues add a nice touch to the story and help inspire fear of the Mummy who is searching for a golden coin that unlocks hidden treasure.
