See How They Run isn’t a perfect film, but there’s plenty of fun to be had in the period murder mystery where all the suspects are actors, producers, and theater owners tied to a live performance of the genre where the victim is killed backstage. The semi-aware whodunit, set in London just after the 100th performance of Agatha Christie‘s (Shirley Henderson) The Mousetrap, involves the murder of the dickish director (Adrien Brody) planning on adapting the beloved stage play to film.

Throwback Thursday takes us back to the tale of three beautiful former police officers turned private detectives working for a faceless boss known as Charlie. “Magic Fire” is an odd episode that merges a story about magic, arson, and fashion together. While eventually the threads do come together, it’s easily one of the more awkward setups of the series as police suspect a magician (E.J. André) who uses fire in his act of setting fires despite having no motive to do so. Looking into other magic acts, Bosley (David Doyle) and Kris (Cheryl Ladd) go undercover in their own act and Kelly (Jaclyn Smith) plays the role of a famous magician’s daughter. The show telegraphs the identity of the arsonist (Victoria Carroll) with a prank on Kris, although none of the Angels pick up on it.

Well, batting 500 isn’t bad. Holding back until they can formulate a plan, the discovery of the Chain Key pushes Erin (Joy Tanner) into taking a big risk that allows Dodge to claim another victim, pick up another key, and convince the Lockes that they need to set a trap for their enemy.
