Exploding Kittens - Shane & Chugger's

Devilcat (Sasheer Zamata) makes a new friend in the constantly complaining Karen while Godcat (Tom Ellis) attempts to help Abbie (Suzy Nakamura) and Marv (Mark Proksch) throw Travis (Kenny Yates) a half-birthday wild enough to convince a pair of cherubs he’s ready to return to Heaven. Swinging at some pretty low-hanging fruit, but still managing some laughs, the episode goes hard at Karen, who the family basically frame for the death of the cherub’s unicorn, and also at the Dave & Buster’s style restaurant which Travis is obsessed with. Despite his hatred of the place, even Godcat finds a way to have some fun getting lost in whackamole which triggers both his cat-reflexes and his need to vent some aggression.

Exploding Kittens - Tartar Recall

After a much shorter intro to how Beelzebub ended up on Earth in the form of Devilcat (Sasheer Zamata), “Tartar Recall” gives us the battle between Godcat (Tom Ellis) and Devilcat on Earth, complicated by the cuddly and furry frames. The battle, and unexpected bonding between the two attempting to research Armageddon through the oeuvre of Bruce Willis, is quite fun. The human story which bleeds over into the battle between the cats involves Marv’s (Mark Proksch) attempt to put on a play in the story by his daughter Greta (Ally Maki) unionizing the workers into demanding minimal rights.

Exploding Kittens - Pilot

Loosely based on the board game of the same name, the first episode of Exploding Kittens introduces us to a douchebag of a God (Tom Ellis) who is exiled by Heaven’s Board of Directors to Earth to earn a little empathy from humans. Oh, and he’s now a cat. Sent to help the (mostly annoying) Higgins family (Suzy Nakamura, Mark Proksch, Ally Maki, and Kenny Yates), Godcat struggles to bring the family closer together (eventually merging their various individual interests into a bonding activity based on the dad’s roleplaying game that puts the entire group in mortal danger).
